That Movie Gay #2016

Sometimes a film shocks you, challenges you and makes you think, oh god no more violence please and that type of film is TRIPLE 9.

Casey Affleck shines in this film as does a wonderful villain Kate Winslet who literally takes no prisoners.

These two are only part of this all star cast where violence in Atlanta seems so real and gruesome. Police, playing with the bad guys, good guys not being that good and that is where this film shines, the fine line between good and bad, authority and the disorderly.

Triple 9 is super violent, super fast paced and at times you wonder what was that last twist? But overall a damn fine thriller to see after an overnight flight from tropical paradise.

In a world filled with terror alerts and violence all over the world sometimes one needs to sit back and see how damaging and how full on the violence is. These gangs, these cops all walk a thin line in this film and take it to the extreme. Was good to see Casey Affleck in another fine film, the last great film I remember him in was Gone Baby Gone back in 2007.

This film is not to be watched by those who hate violence or high level tension in film, overall a quality thriller that left me thinking, is this what happens in the real world? 3.5 Compelling Stars ***
