Oh BOY! Just when the Aussie film industry looked on track with the Sapphires, then comes Kath & Kimderella along to spoil the run for everywhere. Despite the film hitting number one at the box office, it is just a terrible red HOT mess!
I knew this movie had to be bad when even hardcore fans were disliking it! So the film, the jokes are out of date, Magda Szubanski's gay gags, the entire plot is just insane. I found the original idea of the hit series Kath belittling Kim being funny and maybe they should have stuck to basics and kept the film simple. Instead it turned out to be a complete disaster. I am really interested to know if this film will back up it's opening success as I have not heard nor seen a good review for this picture.
So if your looking for a good, upbeat & funny Australian feature film, maybe walk straight past the foxy ladies from Fountain Lakes and get some Aussie Soul with the Sapphires. Kath & Kimderella a bit of a waste of time, 1 Star (for the good old days when this was good fun)
