I'm GAGA for Lady Gaga, could I be a little Monster too?

Lady Gaga the artist who is shaping music in 2012 and beyond.  Her first album bored me shit less, her first album plus some leftover songs interested me (namely "Telephone" those who have seen my strip tease to this, know that when this tune is on, the bitch looses her shit!), then her second empowering album got me interested.

"Born this Way" the title track and lead single was gay pride 100%, it was one for all us who hated school, were bullied, are different, and "Judas" had a wicked all sorts of fucked up beat that was ace.  Then "Edge of Glory" kind of bored me but live another story.  The remainder of the album then seemed to vanish a bit.  But then came the Born this Way Ball.

And ball it was, it was almost like a fully fledged theatre show and a successful one unlike the poor Officer + a Gentleman (even that title bores me, I think I lose interest at Officer), this is full of insane sets, crazy outfits and dancers galore!

The start was epic, on a fake horse maned by her buff dancers (all of different ethnic origins) she did "Highway Unicorn" which I had never heard but enjoyed none the less.  I did cheat and look at the set list in advance.

Up next another tune I was not familiar with but still enjoyable "Government Hooker", then it happened Gaga was reborn and came out of herself (so to speak), for "Born this Way" the worlds best gay anthem ever, well maybe ever we will see what her third album brings, but unless it's called "gay gay gay I love gays", I can't see it getting much more camp.

"Born this Way" got me and most of the sold out crowd up on our feet.

By "Bad Romance" and "Judas" Gaga had the crowd eating out of her palms, by this stage I realised she is a performer, her songs not perfect, her voice not amazing, her looks (fucking weird) but her package is GOLD, she is a promoters dream, this bitch can perform and perform amazingly well, her dancers are perfect, the set flawless and the acting on stage by Gaga great.

When she did my favourite "Telephone" mid set I thought the show could not get any better but I was wrong, the night had a certain amount of magic to it, it was a very fine evening of pop music.

"Bad Kids" was a real favourite of mine, not familiar to me but so 80's fused it was FAB!  "Poker Face" and the last numbers including the encore were gold.  Her first album was so plastic pop but now she is free to release her quirky tunes which is good.

Gaga is here to stay I think, well at least for a while, she plays Allphones Arena for two nights over the weekend and is well worth seeing, if your not a fan (like me) this could be a game changer for you.  Gaga is a FIVE star pop effort, well done and thanks for a memorable night @ the theatre.
